- Come up with a piece of music roughly 3 minutes in length.
- Sample: usually used in electronic music, a sample is a piece of music that has been edited and re arranged into an original piece.
I think a sample can be anything. A film clip, a poem, a picture, a memory, an emotion, a flavor ... Well I think you get my point.
Anything can be that spark for creativity so why not experiment !
Each month a different person will come up with these so it will be fun to see where it goes.
These are guidelines (Not rules) however, please do try to use them for the sake of cohesion.
Here are your samples/guidelines: Feel free to use these samples however you like.
This month I want to focus on spring, beginnings, and the start of something new.
Heather wrote these two poems with this in mind.
The first crank barely draws
The bucket out
So put down the inertia
You picked up in the fall
Ignore the handle
And with both hands claw
Into the rope
Shoulders back and elbows down
Eyes straining to watch now
As you retrieve the cup
The ice still crusts
Break through it
It's a new beginning
As the eight spoked wheel
Freshly oiled gears whirring
The cranks turn
Things start stirring
Sparks of light and sounds aloud
Drawing an excited crowd
